
By Matt SmithWii Fit Trainer, the company’s smartwatch competitor, is getting a major overhaul.
The company is moving forward with the launch of the new fitness tracker, dubbed Fit Trainer 2, on September 16.
The smartwatch was originally launched in December 2015 as the successor to the Fit.
But it has since been redesigned to take advantage of a new feature called the Wii Fit Trainer.
The new Fit Trainer features a wide range of new features, including:The fitness tracker will have a larger screen that can display up to 5.5 hours of videoA new, redesigned design with more room for the watch to fit insideThe watch’s battery can last for hoursThe watch can be worn with any wristbandThe watch features a flexible display that lets users choose from a variety of materialsThe watch has a heart rate monitor that tracks your heart rate, with a dedicated heart rate button to let you monitor when you’re restingThe watch will also track your sleep patternsThe new watch is available for pre-order starting September 16 in the U.S. and Canada and will cost $249.99 in the United States.
Nintendo’s Fit Trainer has a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a new face that incorporates an array of sensors.
The wristband also features a more comfortable strap that sits on top of the watch.
In addition to the new watch, Nintendo is also releasing a smaller, $80 fitness tracker called the Fit Plus.
The Fit Plus is a “more portable and smaller” version of the Fit Tracker, and it features a bigger 5.8-inch display, a new design, and an optional heart rate strap.
The new Fit Plus can be pre-ordered starting September 14 in the US.
Nintendo will also release a fitness tracker that’s made of plastic.
The Pebble Time and LG G Watch R, both of which have built-in heart rate monitors, are made of the same material as the Fit and Fit Plus, respectively.
